WORD: Notes

forgiveness

i'm against forgiveness. not as a concept, but as a moral guideline. it's time to downgrade forgiveness and upgrade accountability and responsibility. people should learn to live a life where they need no one's forgiveness. too much shit has gone down and was forgiven. it's time to demand "fix it, or suffer the consequences".

wisdom

having knowledge is about having a lot of data in your head. being wise is about knowing what to overlook as marginal.

computer games

computer games are a new art form. they combine cinema, architecture, fine art, sculpture, music, literature, even poetry at time, and they have their extra edge with their interactive element. at the moment, the amount of combined effort of too many people is required to create a game which is done on a level which is personally expressive enough to be "artistic", but the potential is there.

art vs "professionalism"

art demands competence, but works terribly with professionalism. professionalism demands following a set of rules, but the very idea of following any rule general to an artistic medium shows nothing but a deep misunderstanding of what art is

"the social network"

definitely one of them most disturbing movies i have seen as of late, and not because of the plot. i have never seen such an exaggerated display of misplaced heroism. it's stupid facebook for crying out loud. who gives a shit? and must also comment the soundtrack, gave me the distinct impression that trent reznor suffers from a severe lack of style, not understanding that the soundtrack took this shit too freaking seriously.

coaching

possibly the most effective way to detach people of their inner selves and turn them into pigs. a mental enema. a dragon killer.

insanity

"doing the same thing again and again expecting different result" - caught it on the latest wall street film by oliver stone. terrible movie. great observation.
